Since opening its doors in 1969, Salon Roi has always been your neighborhood salon for all your salon and spa needs. In 2021 the salon moved to Chevy Chase and became the neighborhood gem continuing to offer high quality experience.

It is a full-service family friendly salon to bring in your youngsters for their first haircut, get the latest trendy hair  color or come in for a relaxing facial or massage. The salon offers nail services, full body waxing, lash and brow lamination, permanent make-up and more. If you have a wedding or special event to attend, our trusted professionals can create flawless make-up and style your hair up.

The salon professionals always continue to further their knowledge and education with regular training and up to date styles and trends.

Nostalgic history

Salon Roi was always known to many Washingtonians as the sight of the mural of a legendary film star Marilyn Monroe. The mural was created by John Bailey in 1980 for Roi Barnard’s 40th birthday. It has become the Washington landmark, reproduced in paintings, T-shirts, calendars and postcards. It is even a stop on the route of the Old Towne Trolley tour bus. As we moved to Chevy Chase, you can still enjoy the reminiscence of it through Marilyn pictures gracing Salon Roi walls.
